Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, regarding the workers’ protest in Noida, said that some people are conspiring to disrupt peace and prosperity in the state. He appealed to industrialists to communicate directly with the workers and said that the government is committed to both the welfare and safety of the workers.

Akhilesh Yadav’s attack

Meanwhile, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, targeting the Yogi government, said that inflation and unemployment are rising and the government has ignored the demands of workers. He said that wages are rising in other states, but the government in Uttar Pradesh is lagging behind. Questioning the government’s functioning, he said that this government believes only in one system and is keeping a distance from the public’s problems. Akhilesh Yadav said that rising inflation and unemployment in the state have made life difficult for the common people, but the government is paying no attention to it.

Employees say they are getting lower salaries compared to other states and rising inflation has made it difficult to make a living. They are angry over pay disparity and poor working conditions.

Demand for overtime and equal pay

The protesters are demanding that overtime be paid at double the rate and bonus be given directly into bank accounts. They say that after the salary hike in states like Haryana, a similar policy should be implemented in Uttar Pradesh also.
