Lucknow: In the Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Lucknow on Tuesday, significant decisions were made to enhance 4G mobile service coverage in villages and address healthcare needs. Approval was granted to extend optical fiber connectivity to areas lacking mobile services, aiming to bridge the digital divide. Additionally, the establishment of Advanced Pediatric Care Units (APCUs) in Lucknow’s PGIs was sanctioned, aiming to improve pediatric healthcare facilities.
The cabinet’s decision also brings relief to flat buyers in the NCR region, with the resolution of hurdles in obtaining possession of flats. Approximately 2,40,000 buyers will benefit from the Uttar Pradesh government’s decision in this regard.
Given the surge in cybercrimes in the state, a crucial decision was taken to establish 57 cyber police stations to expedite the handling of cybercrime cases. This strategic move is anticipated to enhance the state’s ability to swiftly address cyber threats.
Moreover, 20 proposals were discussed during the cabinet meeting, with unanimous approval granted to 19 of them. Notably, the cabinet endorsed proposals related to industrial development, further accelerating the industrial growth rate in the state. These measures are expected to prove instrumental in translating proposals received during the Global Investors Summit into tangible projects on the ground.
The amendment in the Mandi Act is a noteworthy step that is set to benefit farmers. With this amendment, farmers will now have the flexibility to sell their produce outside the state. This decision not only empowers farmers but also opens up opportunities for outsiders to sell their products in Uttar Pradesh’s markets, facilitating broader market access. The Mandi Act, originally formulated in 1965, underwent modifications to adapt to the current agricultural landscape, culminating in the Mandi Act of 2023.
