Bareilly: In a tragic incident in the Izzat Nagar police station area of Bareilly, the car of the BJP district vice president collided forcefully with a youth riding a motorcycle, resulting in the immediate death of the motorcyclist. The bystanders at the scene reacted strongly, apprehending the car driver and subjecting him to severe beating before the police intervened and took him into custody. The police have placed the accused car driver under arrest.

The incident unfolded at the IVAI Bridge in the Gandhi Puram locality, according to the police report. The motorcyclist, identified as Ghaseeram, a 48-year-old resident of Ram Nagar Colony with a job at the hospital on Stadium Road, was on his way to duty when the collision occurred. As he reached the IVAI Bridge on his motorcycle, the BJP district vice president’s car, traveling at high speed, collided with him from behind. The impact was so intense that Ghaseeram was thrown off his bike and fell beneath the bridge, resulting in fatal injuries.

The accused car driver has been identified as Arun Gangwar, a resident of Gandhi Puram. The police reported that Arun was under the influence of intoxicants at the time of the accident, and a search of his vehicle uncovered bottles of liquor and chicken. The police have filed a case against Arun Gangwar based on the complaint filed by Ghaseeram’s wife, invoking relevant sections of the law.

The tragic incident has sparked outrage among the local community, leading to the public assault on the accused before the police intervention. The incident highlights the dangers of rash driving and the consequences it can have on innocent lives. The police are conducting a thorough investigation into the matter to ensure justice is served.
