Ayodhya: As the time approaches for the consecration of Ramalala in Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir, heightened anticipation is palpable among the people. To ensure the auspicious occasion unfolds without hindrance, an extensive security arrangement has been implemented not only within the temple premises but throughout Ayodhya. The expected influx of approximately 8,000 guests, including several VVIPs, for the consecration ceremony of Ramalala adds to the significance of this historic event.

In light of the momentous occasion, Ayodhya has been transformed into a fortress, beginning Saturday night. From entry points of the city to the Ram Mandir, police and ATS commandos are strategically stationed. The security apparatus is not limited to ground personnel; black cat commandos, armored vehicles, and drones are prominently visible in Ayodhya. Additionally, a team from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) is stationed near the Sarayu River.

Recognizing the critical nature of the security arrangements, the Uttar Pradesh Police has assigned three Deputy Inspector Generals (DIGs) specifically for Ayodhya. Moreover, a substantial force, comprising 17 IPS officers, 100 officers of the Superintendent of Police (SSP) rank, 325 inspectors, 800 sub-inspectors, and over 1,000 constables, has been deployed to ensure the robust maintenance of security.

Considering the sensitivity of the situation, the city has been divided into red and yellow zones. The red zone, where security is most stringent, is manned by three battalions of the Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC), while the yellow zone has seven battalions stationed. Private security agencies are also collaborating with the police to bolster security measures on January 22. SIS, a private security agency, is actively involved in managing the security arrangements in Ayodhya. Rituraj Sinha, the company’s director, has highlighted the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) technology to enhance security measures for the event.

This extensive security deployment aims to ensure the smooth conduct of the consecration ceremony, reassuring both the residents of Ayodhya and the visiting dignitaries of a safe and secure environment during this historic moment in the city’s history.
