Unnao Bas Accident: Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav has now blamed the negligence of the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) led Uttar Pradesh government for the death of 18 people in the accident that happened on the Lucknow-Agra Expressway today morning.
Akhilesh Yadav said that the accident needs an investigation as to why the vehicle was parked in the middle of the road despite the special parking zone existing on the expressway. He further raised the question about the reason for not monitoring the parked vehicle under CCTVs. “Were the CCTVs not working? Where was the Highway Police”, asked the SP Chief.
Akhilesh Yadav informed that crores of rupees have been spent on building the expressway, yet the highway ambulance service was not efficient in taking the injured to the hospital on time. He shared a glimpse of the accident on his social media account too.
For the unversed, 18 people were killed and at least 19 were injured after a bus they were boarding rammed with another vehicle at Agra-Lucknow Expressway today. According to the state Police, three women and one child were among those killed in the accident Uttar Pradesh’s Unnao.
