The Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav alleged the BJP government in UP of a huge scam of much-coveted land in Ayodhya ranging in crores of rupees. Addressing the press conference at the SP headquarters in Lucknow, Yadav said that BJP officials and government employees were involved in the scam, terming this as a large corruption nexus.
He insisted on probing the issue and called central agencies to intervene and look into the current fraudulent releases for the city’s sacred lands. Yadav submitted a news report to a new agency to support his claims. He also criticized Yogi Adityanath led state government in the video he posted on social media for what he termed as ‘loot’ by poor’s land in Ayodhya. “There is massive cheating by BJP members and officials and wherever there is cheating, there cannot be any possibility of development,” he said, adding, “I congratulate the party leaders for revealed this dirty fact of this looting in Ayodhya?”
Later, Akhilesh Yadav also opposed the recent Lucknow Government’s decision to hike the circle rate of land in Ayodhya and alleged that farmers who wanted to donate their land to a noble cause were not paid a justified price. Sexual assault, he said there is exploitation and pressure on poor and vulnerable land owners exercising unlawful practices against BJP officials by selling the lands at raised circle rate after raising the circle rates.
The former Uttar Pradesh chief minister also leveled accusations against the BJP party members for selling defense land that was meant to be used for practice in artillery and changing the railway alignment for the benefit of their party members, friends, and relatives, demanding and acquiring kickbacks in the process fleecing the poor people of their hard-earned money. “This I tell you, is not ‘zero tolerance’ for corruption yet, it is more like a way of allowing their own citizen to eat on the expense of the common man, while they prepare them for a future hike in the value of the land. ” Yadav concluded.
