Magh Mela 2026: A large crowd of devotees gathered at the Sangam banks of Prayagraj on Shattila Ekadashi. Devotees were seen visiting the Sangam ghats to take a holy dip. From 4 am to 12 noon, approximately 5 million devotees took a holy dip. Strong security arrangements have been made at all the ghats. Special care has been taken to ensure that devotees do not face any inconvenience.
It should be noted that the Magh Mela in Prayagraj began on January 3rd with the Paush Purnima bath on the banks of the Sangam. During the Kalpavas, devotees are participating in the Magh Mela by taking a dip in the Sangam. Children, the elderly, women, and youth from across the country and the world have been taking a holy dip in the Sangam since early morning.

It is noteworthy that during the Magh Mela 2024, more than 28.95 lakh devotees bathed during this festival. Anticipating a nearly three-fold increase in pilgrims this year, the Mela administration has developed a comprehensive crowd management plan. Magh Mela Officer Rishiraj stated that 42 temporary parking lots have been developed to facilitate crowd management and smooth traffic flow, which will accommodate over 100,000 vehicles.
