Shahjanpur: In Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh, a rumor spread that the general coach of 13006 Punjab Mail Express train going from Howrah to Amritsar caught fire. Many passengers jumped off the train in panic. 20 passengers were injured in the stampede. The condition of seven people is said to be critical.
The incident happened around 8:00 am when the train was half inside and half outside the river bridge situated on the Bareilly-Shahjahanpur border. A rumor spread that the general coach of the train was on fire, due to which the passengers panicked and many passengers jumped down from the railway bridge. Due to this stampede, more than 20 passengers were injured. At the same time, 7 people are serious.
It is being told that some miscreants used a fire extinguisher, which caused a cloud of smoke and a rumour of fire spread. The driver tried to stop the train, but due to the hurry and stampede of the passengers, many people got injured.
