Lucknow: 26 people lost their lives in the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. After which the central government has taken a tough stand and cancelled the visas of all Pakistanis. More than 1,500 Pakistani citizens have been identified in UP (in Bareilly, Varanasi, Rampur etc.). On the instructions of the DGP headquarters, the process of sending Pakistani citizens back to the districts has intensified.

Regarding which DGP Prashant Kumar has instructed the districts to start the process of their return. They will have to leave India by April 27 (medical visa holders by 29). An alert has been issued in the state. Strict instructions have been given in view of Friday prayers. Social media is being closely monitored. With immediate effect, foot patrolling has been increased in Muslim-dominated areas. Sensitive areas are being monitored with drone cameras.

Information has been received about 18 citizens in Bulandshahr, 30 in Rampur, 35 in Bareilly district and 10 in Varanasi. CM Yogi Adityanath held a meeting in this regard late on Thursday night.
