Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government has given approval for the construction of 11 new cow protection centers across the state with an allocated fund of ₹8.8 crores for the current fiscal year. This initiative is aimed at the conservation and development of destitute cows. Each center will receive a financial provision of ₹80 lakhs for its establishment.
In a directive issued by the Department of Animal Husbandry, guidelines and directives have been provided to the Directorate of Administration and Development, Livestock Department. According to the directive, the establishment of the 11 new cow protection centers will take place in various locations, including Gaura Narayanpur and Sikta in Basti, Mangaroth in Hamirpur, Fazalpur in Muradabad, Kusehara in Gazipur, Ballipur Maithia in Jaunpur, Fazalpur in Ballia, Kusehara in Gazipur, and Malhera Nevaada in Banda, among others.
The allocated funds reflect the commitment of the government to promote and enhance cow protection and welfare. Each center is designated to receive ₹80 lakhs to facilitate its establishment and operational activities.
