Following the consecration of the Shri Ram Mandir, numerous devotees from Udaipur are expressing interest in travelling to Ayodhya. In response, the state-run Roadways has initiated bus services from Udaipur to Ayodhya. The inaugural bus departed at 6:30 AM on Thursday, marking the commencement of this new route. Hemant Sharma, the Chief Manager of Udaipur Aagar, revealed that the journey from Udaipur to Ayodhya covers a distance of 1191 kilometres.

The first bus, operating at 3 times the regular fare, embarked on its journey to Ayodhya with 12 passengers who had booked their tickets online. Additionally, travellers from Ajmer, Jaipur, and other locations have also made reservations for the Ayodhya route. The return journey of the bus will provide insights into the revenue generated from this new service.

Considering the growing demand, future plans include introducing sleepers and other types of buses on this route. The Udaipur-Ayodhya bus is scheduled to reach Ayodhya at 9:45 AM on Friday. The journey from Ayodhya to Udaipur will depart daily at 4:35 PM, with a stopover in Jaipur the following morning at 9 AM, and reach Udaipur at 6:15 PM the same day.

To facilitate this service, the bus fare for male passengers travelling from the city to Ayodhya is Rs 1480, while female passengers will pay Rs 1201. Similarly, the fare for the journey from Jaipur to Ayodhya is Rs 1078 for males and Rs 988 for females. Introducing this bus service enhances connectivity and offers a convenient and affordable travel option for devotees and tourists alike, fostering greater accessibility to Ayodhya and promoting tourism between these two locations.
