Govardhan: A case of security negligence in the Chief Minister’s convoy has come to light. Rajasthan CM Bhajan Lal Sharma, on his first visit to Bharatpur, set out for Govardhan. However, a significant lapse in security was observed. On Tuesday evening, as the CM was en route to Govardhan from Dig, his vehicle accidentally entered a drain in Poonchari.

Fortunately, the CM was not injured, but he had to continue in another vehicle. The incident occurred when one of the wheels of the CM’s car got stuck in the drain suddenly, while the rest of the convoy had already moved ahead. During the attempt to extricate the stuck car, an imbalance occurred, and it slipped towards the interior of the drain. Witnessing this, security and administrative officials were alarmed. They rushed to the scene to ensure the safety of the CM. Ultimately, the CM was safely moved to another vehicle by security personnel.

The mishap unfolded as the wheel of the CM’s car got unexpectedly stuck in the drain, while the other vehicles in the convoy had easily moved ahead from somewhere else. While trying to pull out the stuck car, an imbalance occurred, causing it to slip towards the drain’s interior. This incident created a sense of urgency among security and administrative officials who quickly intervened to secure the CM. They promptly escorted him to another vehicle to ensure his safety.

Present during the incident was BJP state minister Shravan Singh, who, along with Chief Minister Sharma, reassured the media that the road was quite narrow, and the drain was newly constructed. This led to one wheel of the Chief Minister’s vehicle accidentally entering the drain. Singh emphasized that it was an accident, and fortunately, no one sustained any injuries in the incident. The quick response of security personnel averted any potential harm to the Chief Minister, highlighting the importance of swift action in crisis situations.
