In a significant move coinciding with the 75th Republic Day, the Bhajan Lal government in the state has undertaken a major reshuffling of the police department, resulting in the transfer of nine IPS officers late last night.
The reshuffle includes officers of high stature such as Sanjay Agrawal, Anand Kumar Srivastava, Sanjeev Kumar, Vishal Bansal, Vijay Kumar Singh, S. Sengathir, Rupinder Singh, Bhupendra Sahu, and Dr. B.L. Meena. The orders for these transfers were issued by the personnel department.
One noteworthy change involves IPS officer S. Sengathir, who was honored with the President’s Police Medal, now being transferred as the Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) at the Police Headquarters. This move emphasizes his distinguished service and commitment to law enforcement.
Simultaneously, three IPS officers who have been promoted to the rank of ADGP have been assigned key positions. Rupinder Singh is now ADGP of Prisons, Bhupendra Sahu assumes the role of ADGP Technical Services, and Dr. B.L. Meena has been appointed as ADGP Community Policing. These promotions and role placements signify the government’s recognition of their exemplary contributions to their respective fields.
