Bhopal: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh today to lay the foundation stones of a slew of projects, including rail and road works and a memorial dedicated to Rani Durgavati.

An official statement released from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) read, “at around 11:15 AM, the prime minister will lay foundation stone and dedicate multiple development projects worth Rs. 5000 crores at Jodhpur, Rajasthan in sectors like road, rail, aviation, health and higher education”.

PM Modi shall lay the foundation stone for the Central Library, 600 capacity hostel with dinning facility at the Central University of Rajasthan, and upgrade infrastructure at the Central University of Rajasthan. The prime minister shall also flag off two new train services in Rajasthan and two rail projects to be inaugurated for doubling the 145 km long Degna-Rai Ka Bagh rail line and 68 Km long Degana-Kuchaman City rail line.

In Madhya Pradesh, celebrations for 500th birth anniversary of Rani Durgavati are in line. PM Modi is set to lay the foundation stone of a 2-foot bronze statue of Rani Durgavati and ‘Veerangana Rani Durgavati Smarak aur Udyaan’ with a built-up cost of Rs. 100 crores spread across 100 acres.

Further, the prime minister visions to strengthen the Light House Project at Indore and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana to enlighten 1000 beneficiary families. In Jabalpur, he shall lay foundation stone of multiple Jal Jeevan Mission project worth over Rs. 2350 crores.
