Jaipur: As the assembly elections approach, it has been reported that Rajasthan’s Chief Minister, Ashok Gehlot has announced the state’s intention to conduct a survey on demographics. This decision comes after discussions within the Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee (RPCC) core committee held at their headquarters in Jaipur. The timing of this announcement is noteworthy as it precedes the implementation of the Model Code of Conduct in the state, indicating its readiness for the elections.
Alongside the caste survey, Chief Minister Gehlot has also revealed plans to establish three districts within Rajasthan, bringing the count to 53 districts. This strategic move aims to enhance efficiency and cater to the evolving landscape.
Furthermore, as part of his preparations for the Rajasthan assembly polls, Chief Minister Gehlot has approved the formation of eight welfare boards dedicated to communities and castes. These boards will have a role in providing recommendations to improve living conditions and overall well-being, for their communities.
The formed welfare boards in Rajasthan consist of the Raja Bali Welfare Board, Valmiki Welfare Board, Meghwal Welfare Board, Pujari Welfare Board, Kevat Welfare (Ma Puri Bai Keer) Board, Jatav Welfare Board, Dhanka Welfare Board and Chitragupta Kayastha Welfare Board.
