Rewari: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in the village Majra of Rewari today. He will also inaugurate two projects including Rohtak-Maham-Hansi railway line. The Prime Minister will also inaugurate the Hansi-Rohtak Railway Line, Old Gurugram Metro Project from Rewari, lay the foundation stone of the 800 MW Thermal Power Plant to be built in Yamunanagar and inaugurate the Jyotisar Experience Centre.
Informing about these projects, Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote on X, “Our government is going to leave no stone unturned to improve the lives of our families in Rajasthan. In this direction, tomorrow at around 11 am, there will be an opportunity to address the ‘Developed India Developed Rajasthan’ program through video conferencing. During this period, many important projects of road, railway and solar energy related to the development of the state will also be inaugurated and foundation stone laid”.
The Prime Minister will arrive at around 1 pm and lay the foundation stone of six development projects worth more than Rs 9,750 crore related to urban transport. He will also meet the people of 14 assembly constituencies of two Lok Sabha seats of South Haryana, Gurugram and Mahendragarh-Bhiwani.
The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of the Gurugram Metro Rail project to be developed at a cost of about Rs 5450 crore. This 28.5 kilometer long project will connect Millennium City Center with Udyog Vihar. Apart from this, he will also lay the foundation for doubling of Rewari-Kathuwas railway line. The Prime Minister will also inaugurate the newly constructed experience center Jyotisar in Kurukshetra.
This AIIMS will be established under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana. Departments of Cardiology, Gastro-Enterology, Nephrology, Urology, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Medical Oncology, Surgical Oncology, Endocrinology, Burns and Plastic Surgery will be present here. AIIMS will also have facilities of ICU, trauma unit, sixteen modular, operation theatre, diagnostic lab, blood bank and pharmacy. It has been told by the government that the establishment of AIIMS in Haryana will prove to be a milestone in the direction of comprehensive and quality health care.
AIIMS to be built at a cost of Rs 1650 crore will be established in Rewari. The hospital building will be constructed on 203 acres in Majra Mustil Bhalkhi village of Rewari. This hospital will have 720 beds, it will have a medical college with 100 seats and a nursing college with 60 seats. Apart from this, there will be an AYUSH block with 30 beds. Besides, there will also be facilities of residential building for faculty and staff, hostel for UG and PG students, night shelter and guest house.
