Raipur: A nationwide large-scale mock drill moves forward with complete preparation. A large-scale mock drill will take place on May 7 across all 244 districts distributed among 29 states and union territories according to central government orders. Rajasthan joins this national initiative by organising simulated emergency protocols through 28 urban areas across 18 administrative districts. The implementation of the mock drills receives detailed guidance to enable smooth effective delivery.
Multiple critical locations throughout Jaipur capital of Rajasthan will activate warning sirens during the mock drill sessions. On May 7 at 4 PM Jaipur will execute their mock drill under central government regulations. The intended purpose of this exercise is the assessment of both warning systems and emergency readiness capabilities across the city following natural disaster or critical event situations.
Warning sirens located across selected sites have been finalized by the district administration for activation. The mock drill will activate warning sirens at selected sites encompassing the District Collectorate along with Shastri Nagar and Power House at Chandpole Power House, followed by Chogan Stadium and BSNL Office on MI Road and Ghatgate Central Jail and Raj Bhavan, and the Secretariat buildings together with Johar Singh Gate in Amer and sites at MNIT and Bajaj Nagar, and Durgapura. Twenty-four locations throughout Jaipur will join the mock drill.
The coordination plan went forward after Chief Secretary Sudhansh Pant chaired a recent high-level meeting. The session featured all officials who held positions in relevant departments. During late hours, the city’s emergency power outage preparation will be evaluated through the testing of blackout siren operations. The Chief Secretary ordered departments to enforce all established guidelines as part of achieving successful results in this mock exercise.
