Jaipur: There are 56 names in the fourth list of Congress released on Tuesday for Rajasthan Assembly elections. With this, the Party has fielded its candidates on 151 seats of 200 assembly seats in Rajasthan.
“Shri Ruparam Meghwal is the candidate of the Congress Party from Jaisalmer Assembly Constituency. Voters of Jaisalmer are respectfully requested to case 25 November vote only for Shri Ruparam Meghwal ji”, wrote Rajasthan PCC on Twitter.
In this fourth list, the party has nominated Manvendra Singh from Siwana, Gaurav Vallabh from Udaipur, Prashant Bairwa from Niwai, Zakir Hussain from Makrana seat and former MP Badri Ram Jakhar from Bali seat. But the tickets of Rajkumar Gaur, who was an independent MLA from Ganganagar, Durr Miyan from Tijara and Johari Lal Meena from Rajgarh, Alwar have been canceled.
Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, former party chief Sonia Gandhi, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, All India Congress Committee (AICC) in-charge of the state Sukhjinder Randhawa and the party’s state unit chief Govind Dotasra attended the meeting.
AICC general secretary (organisation) K C Venugopal and Rajasthan screening committee chief Gaurav Gogoi, besides members of the CEC were among others who attended the Central Election Committee (CEC) meeting.
The Congress had on Thursday released its third list of 19 candidates for the polls. The first list of candidates for Rajasthan had 43 candidates and the second has 33.
The 200-member Rajasthan Assembly will go to polls on November 25 and the counting of votes will be taken up on December 3.
