Jaipur: The state government is actively working towards eradicating corruption and ensuring a corruption free administration. Combating corruption and prioritizing a governance system are of importance to the state government. In line with this objective, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma granted approval to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Thursday, allowing them to investigate cases related to the state.
The state government’s dedication towards maintaining a corruption-free administration and taking action against wrongdoers is evident. Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharmas’s decision to grant approval to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) highlights the determination of the state in addressing corruption issues. As per the proposal, the CBI will no longer require permission from the state government for investigations related to the state. This step aims to streamline and expedite investigations thereby bolstering corruption efforts.
With this notification issued by the Home Department, there is no longer a need for the CBI to seek approvals for each case from the state government. This move will facilitate more efficient investigations. It is anticipated that this decision will empower the CBI to take effective action against individuals thus contributing significantly towards combating corruption in our state.
It is important to mention that the previous government had withdrawn the permission granted to the CBI for conducting research, which raised concerns, about delays in investigations and possible loss of evidence. However thanks to the Chief Minister’s decision to restore the approval the CBI will now have the power to carry out investigations without requiring individual permissions from state governments on a case-by-case basis.
This strategic decision by the Chief Minister is poised to accelerate and strengthen the CBI’s capacity to take immediate and impactful measures against corruption. The reinstatement of general approval is expected to serve as a deterrent against corruption in the state, sending a clear signal that stringent actions will be taken to uphold the principles of transparency and accountability in governance.
