Jodhpur: Armed Forces Ex-Servicemen Day will be organized this year at Air Force Station Jodhpur. Dignitaries from the Government of Rajasthan including the Defense Minister, Chief of Defense Staff, Air Force Headquarters and senior officials of South Western Air Command will be present in the program. More than one thousand ex-servicemen will also participate in this program.

It is noteworthy that Armed Forces Ex-Servicemen Day is celebrated every year on 14 January. Field Marshal General KM Cariappa, the first Indian Commander-in-Chief who led the Indian Army to victory in the 1947 war, formally retired from the army on this day in 1953. This day is dedicated to honoring the ex-servicemen of the country.

Ex-Servicemen Day is organized to remember and honor retired, serving and heroes who have made supreme sacrifices for the country and served the country selflessly.
