Trade Fair 2025: The 14-day-long India International Trade Fair at Delhi’s Pragati Maidan concluded on Thursday. More than 1.8 million people attended the fair. On the final day, when the Ministry of Commerce released the list of best pavilions, Rajasthan won the gold medal, thanks to its art, culture, and creative presentation.

In the participating state category, Rajasthan won gold, Bihar silver, and Uttar Pradesh bronze. This time, the Rajasthan pavilion was specially designed with the traditional art of Hadoti, Mewar, and Marwar at its core. The decorations, which reflected religious sites such as the Pushkar Fair, Chambal Mata, Salasar Balaji, Khatushyamji, and Tripura Sundari, attracted a large crowd.

Folk culture created an atmosphere

Not only the artworks displayed in the pavilion, but also the daily live shows drew large crowds. As soon as the puppetry, ghoomar, and other folk dances began, spectators whipped out their mobile phones to record videos. The atmosphere was filled with the joy of a festival.

Sikar’s puppet team becomes star

Puppeteer Ashok Bhatt, who came from Sikar, said that for him, this art is not just a profession, it’s an identity. Seeing the applause and love from the people, he felt that his hard work had truly paid off.
