Amritsar: The incidents of robbery continue in the metropolis. A robbery worth lakhs of rupees was carried out at gunpoint from the office of a finance company in Jandiala Guru. Apart from this, robbers have looted a bag containing money from a person in Maqbool Pura area.
Vikas Kumar, resident of street number four, Prakash Vihar, Rambali Chowk, Batala Road, has told the police that he was going near Software Technology ITI College. The robbers surrounded him. Showed the pistol and threatened to shoot. They snatched the bag from his hand and ran away. The bag contained money and important documents. The police of Maqboolpura police station have registered a case and are searching for the robbers.
Similarly, Hardeep Singh, resident of Bagha Purana Moga, has told the police that he works as a manager in Fusion Micro Finance Private Company, Jandiala Guru. Was present in the office along with his staff at 6:15 pm on 3rd November. Meanwhile, four robbers entered his office. Showed the pistol and threatened to shoot. Ran away after looting Rs 3 lakh 27 thousand 781 from the office. A case has been registered by the police of Jandiala Guru station.
Incidents of such robbery are increasing in the area. Earlier on November 1, a robber identified as Jagdeep Singh of Vaironwal village in Tarn Taran district was shot dead by a security guard of a fuel station in Malian village on the Amritsar-Jalandhar national highway, police said on Monday. The incident took place around 7.30pm on Sunday when Jagdeep, along with his associate Gurpreet Singh alias Gopi, reached the fuel station on a motorcycle.
