Bhagwant Mann, the 17th Chief Minister of Punjab, wears many hats. From his early days as a celebrated comedian and satirist, he’s morphed into a politician promising change and tackling the state’s entrenched issues.
Elected in 2022 with a landslide victory, Mann’s journey is as unique as his persona. His common touch resonates with the people, his humor cutting through bureaucracy and skepticism. But beneath the jovial exterior lies a sharp mind, honed by years of observing and understanding society’s undercurrents.
He’s tackling head-on Punjab’s chronic struggles: corruption, drug abuse, and unemployment. His vows of transparency and fiscal prudence are a stark contrast to past regimes. Initiatives like anti-corruption helplines and government job drives signal a shift towards accountability.
