Jalandhar Rural Police apprehended Harpreet Singh along with other individuals. Identified as Lovepreet Singh alias Luv was enroute to Ludhiana. Harpreet Singh is the elder brother of Amritpal Singh, the jailed pro-Khalistani leader who recently became MP from Khadoor Sahib.
The Police arrested the accused at the Phillaur checkpoint and seized four grams of methamphetamine, which is locally known as ice. Police suspected Harpreet Singh to be under the influence of the drugs and so he was subjected to a medical examination right after his detention.
Jalandhar Rural Police SSP, Ankur Gupta confirmed the arrests and said that the Police will soon release a press release.
