Guru Tegh Bahadur 350th Martyrdom Anniversary Preparations: Punjab Cabinet Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO arrived to review the preparations for the special assembly session dedicated to the 350th martyrdom anniversary of the 9th Guru, Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur. Speaking to the media here, he informed that the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is upgrading 317 km of roads connecting Shri Anandpur Sahib at a cost of Rs 100 crore. In this, 127 km of roads in the Guru city itself are being renovated at a cost of Rs 49.32 crore.
The minister issued necessary instructions to Public Works Department officials and conducted a detailed inspection of the hall being constructed for the special assembly session. It should be noted that construction of a tent city to accommodate the millions of devotees attending the martyrdom centenary celebrations has been completed. Four divine Nagar Kirtans will be organized here, led by saints and great men.
The Punjab Police has cast a wide net of security deploying advanced surveillance for the safety of devotees ahead of the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur. Meanwhile, Chief Secretary K A P Sinha reviewed preparations related to the ‘Shaheedi Shatabdi Samagam’ of the ninth Sikh Guru at Sri Anandpur Sahib.

The special Punjab Assembly session scheduled for November 24th will be dedicated to Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. The ETO stated that all work is being completed on schedule. The state government and local administration are providing every possible facility to serve the devotees.
Earlier on November 15, Punjab Tourism and Cultural Affairs Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond on Saturday announced the detailed schedule of the three-day state-level commemorative events to be held at Sri Anandpur Sahib from November 23 to 25 in honor of the 350th Martyrdom Anniversary of the Ninth Guru, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji.
The Department of Tourism and Cultural Affairs has been appointed as the nodal agency to ensure seamless planning and execution of the ceremonies.
