Due to low visibility caused by dense fog, flight operations at Chennai Airport, located in the state of Tamil Nadu, were affected this morning. Some flights were affected by the decision due to the victory because the foggy air environment makes it almost impossible for pilots to operate safely. Taking to the social media platform X, Air India posted a message to the passengers to check their flight schedule before coming to the airport to ensure that they do not suffer any inconvenience.

The Chennai airport feels the impact of low visibility, but there are no weather warnings from the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) for the Southern Indian region, implying that it was a one-of-a-kind event. Those using the airports in Chennai were asked to keep updating the schedules for their flights.

Similarly, thick fogginess disrupted the flight schedule at the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport in Delhi as cold waves affected the area and caused prolonged flight delays. Cold wave conditions have prevailed over Northern India, sending people into their homes during the day, let alone at night, with homeless people having to look for night shelters since temperatures began dropping further.

IMD has given an orange alert for Delhi and NCR, terming it as severe fog, which may again cause some more flight delays and poor visibility in the days to come. Tanzania’s leaders have advised people, particularly motorists, to be careful on roads because of poor visibility occasioned by fog.

In addition, this project is trying to identify that the pollution level of the air in Delhi has risen. The air pollution index for Greater Dhaka has risen significantly, and the air quality in various city-monitored stations has been rated dangerous, with AQI hitting 285. In its recent report, the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) noted that these pollution levels were very damaging to health, with a special impact on those who have respiratory problems.
