Bhopal: A fierce fire erupted at Vallabh Bhavan, the state secretariat in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. Upon learning of the incident, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav expressed, “I have been informed that a fire has broken out on the third floor of the old building of Vallabh Bhavan. Based on information received from the collector, I have directed the Chief Secretary to monitor the situation.”
The Chief Minister added, “Detailed information about the incident should be gathered, and I have been told that the fire is under control. We have issued instructions to ensure that such an incident does not recur. I hope that such an incident will not happen again.”
Zone-2 DCP Shradha Tiwari provided updates, stating, “Forces immediately reached the spot, and all available firefighting teams have been summoned. Control has been established over the fire on the second and third floors. Efforts are underway to extinguish the fire on the fourth floor. The SDRF team has entered the building, and if anyone is found trapped inside, the operation to rescue them is ongoing. The exact cause of the fire is yet to be determined.”
