Narmadapuram: Laksh Chugh, who operates Sarvajan Hospital on Malkhedi Road in Narmadapuram, Madhya Pradesh, faces legal charges for running sonography and echocardiography machines without an authorized license, according to an established complaint. A case at Kotwali police station stemmed from a complaint filed by Dr. R.K. Verma, as District Health Officer, who used various sections from the PCPNDT (Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques) Act to support his claim.
The PCPNDT Act reports claim that Laksh Chugh operated sonography and echo machines illegally after inheriting his authorization rights from his brother, Dr. Ansh Chugh of the District Hospital. On April 1, the District Health Department team executed an inspection of Sarvajan Hospital. The inspection team began facility lockdown procedures because of these violations, which were discovered.
According to the April 17 health department report, the institution conducted echo and sonography tests without official governmental authorization. A complaint from the DHO about hospital violations of PCPNDT Act provisions led the police station of Kotwali to receive the complaint.
An FIR with five criminal sections was filed against Laksh Chugh subsequent to the received complaint. TI Saurabh Pandey received a letter from the CMHO office containing instructions to proceed with registration of the matter. The case involves running both the hospital and diagnostic equipment while lacking essential proper licenses, as well as a lack of registration.
Pandey explained that investigators need to obtain and verify multiple documents that remain uncollected from the case. Law enforcement will make arrest decisions after performing complete investigations into the unlicensed machine documentation.
