Bhopal: Regarding the Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, the BJP has just released its list of candidates, unveiling their choices for 228 out of the 230 assembly seats. With two seats left to be decided, senior BJP leader Uma Bharti took to media to extend her congratulations to the candidates.
In a Twitter post, she expressed her happiness and acknowledged that all candidates for the Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections had been announced, except for two seats. Uma Bharti also praised the candidates on the list, particularly highlighting the women included emphasising that it is crucial for women and those from marginalised communities to have representation in positions of power without reservation.
Additionally, Uma Bharti, a known BJP leader made an announcement on social media regarding former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chouhan. She revealed that she has granted Shivraj Singh Chouhan with “Power of Attorney.” This authorization empowers Chouhan to make decisions about when and where she should campaign in support of BJP candidates during the elections.
Uma Bharti’s decision to give power of attorney to Chouhan is viewed as a move aimed at unifying the party and gaining support throughout the campaign. She had previously voiced her worries and objections about the Women’s Reservation Bill being considered in Parliament, and her current actions demonstrate her dedication to ensuring women’s presence in politics.
