Malwa. Continuous action is being taken to curb the drug trade in Madhya Pradesh. Yet, criminals continue to manufacture and sell drugs with impunity. In this connection, on Saturday, the Narcotics Department in Agar Malwa dismantled a drug network operating under the guise of a plant nursery. The team recovered MD drugs worth approximately ₹10 crore. 

The Ujjain Narcotics Control Bureau (Ujjain Narcotics Control Bureau) received information that a drug trade was being conducted under the guise of a nursery at the “Teerth” herbal farmhouse in Amla. Someone was expected to arrive on Saturday morning to collect a large consignment of drugs. The team arrived at the scene at 4 a.m. with five vehicles and waited for customers. When no one arrived for a long time, the team raided the nursery. What they witnessed left them stunned. 

Narcotics lab destroyed

In fact, the Narcotics team discovered that narcotics were being manufactured under the guise of a nursery. A dedicated lab had been set up there for this purpose. The team demolished it and detained some of the people working there who were involved in the incident. 

Drugs worth Rs 10 crore recovered

Neemuch-Jawar Narcotics Department Superintendent V.S. Kumar stated that 31 kilograms (250 grams) of mephedrone (MD) was recovered. 600 kilograms (100 pounds) of various chemicals, including MDC, MMA, triethylamine, sodium carbonate, and lab equipment and machinery, were also seized. The value of the drug is estimated at ₹10 crore (approximately $100 million USD). This amount will increase further once it is taken out of the facility.
