Bhopal: The third supplementary budget of Rs 15,232 crore was tabled in the House by finance minister Jagdish Devda. The speaker instituted two hours discussion on the budget on Friday. On the other hand, after the discussion on the Governor’s address, the assembly was adjourned till Monday. A budgetary provision of Rs 742 crore has been made for the finance department, Rs 7,594 for the energy department and Rs 375 crore for the labour department.
Besides, a provision of Rs 2,000 crore has been made for the PHE department, Rs 1211 for the rural development department and Rs 1380 crore for the social justice department. Similarly, a provision of Rs 2580 crore has been made for MSME department to forgive a boost in the employment sector. While a provision of Rs 1492 crore has been made for the higher education department, Rs 2070 crore has been reserved for schemes of schedule caste welfare schemes.
To manage the payments related to Ladli Laxmi yojana, a provision of Rs 2000 crore has been made for women and child welfare department needs. The FM has also provisioned Rs 950 to face the issues related to natural calamity including draught. During the discussion on the demands for grants, Congress MLA Vinay Saxena raised the issue and said that, in the last 8 months, the gaushala operators are not getting the grant. Accusing the government of favouritism, he said that the problems of the opposition MLAs are not being heard, even Congress representatives are not invited to the Chief Minister’s programs.
In the assembly, senior Congress MLA Dr. Govind Singh raised the issue of disturbance in the name of compensation amount for a hailstorm in Bhind district. He said that the wrong survey has been done in the name of distribution of compensation; the name of the affected person belongs to someone else while the compensation amount has reached someone else’s account.
