Bhopal: Teachers with criminal backgrounds are barred from teaching in schools in Madhya Pradesh. It must be noted that police verification is now a compulsory requirement for all teaching and non-teaching staff in both government and private schools in the state. It affects all the staff in all the schools in the district, including the Madrasas. The order requires that a character verification police verification must be done for all educational and non-educational staff to employ those with clean records in schools.

Some items included are verification certificates, which schools are to garner from staff members. All those who are will be dismissed from their employment due to a criminal record. It is an important rule that concerns all working in educational centers, despite their position. The School Education Department has officially controlled this regulation by a special order.

All school staff members have been provided a time frame of two days to present their character and police verification certificates to the concerned school. The order has been developed to address the current surge in the incidents of crime against female students in schools. The message that the enforcement of proper background checks sends is to provide a safer atmosphere for tuition institutions, especially for females, and bar any persons of ill repute from gaining access to students.

This initiative emphasizes the mandate that schools have to guard students against possible dangers that may occur with them. With the new rules implemented, the state is clearly stating that individuals with criminal records will not be allowed to teach in school to protect the welfare of the students.
