The cancellation of Meera Yadav, the only contender of the Samajwadi party from Khajuraho, was the chief officer’s duty after the Panna District Returning Officer’s guidelines. Panna District Collector and Returning Officer Suresh Kumar has also confirmed the order which is yet to be publicized further.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government was blamed for conspiring against Meera Yadav, the wife of Deep Narayan Yadav her husband. He said under this intention his client should approach the High Court and later the Supreme Court. He informed the participants about the INDIA delegation coming forward to vote for a candidate of neutral but independent background.

In Nava, the Samajwadi party which is being led by Akhilesh Yadav is a partner of the INDIA bloc nationally and the only case of the constituency from which the party has been contesting in Madhya Pradesh is Khajuraho under a sharing agreement of seat with the Congress party.
In total, Madhya Pradesh has 29 Lok Sabha seats, of which the Congress is participating by putting up twenty-eight.
