Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Dr Mohan Bhagwat is to pay a two-day visit to the state of Madhya Pradesh, to the districts of Maihar and Satna. His tour is about reviews of organisations, cultural interactions and communication with local volunteers. The trip is in line with the festive festival that is Dussehra, where festivals and religious activities are taking place throughout the state. To this end, the administration has put in place stricter security and ordered officials to make sure that all the programs are successful.
The first day will start with the visit of Dr Bhagwat to the famous Sharda Devi Temple in Maihar, one of the largest Shakti Peeths and the place of worship of millions of believers. He will perform prayers and take part in the traditional rituals in the temple. After his visit, he will be speaking at a province-level “vistarak varg” (extension worker session) in the Uteli region of Satna. The participants at the session will consist of RSS pracharaks and vistaraks of different districts of Madhya Pradesh, sharing future plans and organisational strategies.
His activities will start on October 5 with the opening of a Baba Mehrshah Darbar Sahib in the Sindhi Camp area of Satna. This is a holy place to the Sikhs, and its opening is being seen as an act to bring social harmony and unity among faiths. Bhagwat is to speak after the ceremony to a big audience at the BTI Ground in Satna, where there are thousands of swayamsevaks and citizens expected.
The Satna and Maihar district administrations have sent more police officers to control the crowds and guarantee security. The district collector of Satna stated that they will ensure that every venue is under surveillance, and traffic diversion and parking arrangements are done. Because of the effect of the earlier visits of Dr Bhagwat, his speeches this time are likely to attract much coverage and discussion on the social media platforms as well.
