Gwalior: The historic Gwalior Trade Fair in Madhya Pradesh has ended. But the traders are still setting up their shops, that is why the Fair Development Authority has taken strict action against not vacating the shops and has imposed a huge fine of Rs 42 lakh 50 thousand on 250 traders present at the fair.
Actually, the famous trade fair of Gwalior Chambal region has ended on 29th February. But even after that, not vacating the shops has cost 250 traders heavily. The fair authority has imposed a heavy fine of Rs 1,000 per day. In such a situation, the traders will have to deposit a fine of Rs 42 lakh 50 thousand for 17 days to the authority.
Gwalior Trade Fair Authority Secretary Niranjan Lal Srivastava says that notices were issued to the traders from time to time asking them to vacate the fair premises. Cooperation was also sought from the police administration in this regard. But 17 days have passed since the end of the fair, yet traders are busy doing business in the fair. This is the reason why he has been fined.
It is noteworthy that this time a business worth Rs 1600 crore has been done in the Gwalior Trade Fair. Where record purchases of two-wheelers and four-wheelers took place in the automobile sector. There was tremendous business in food also. The fair was to conclude as scheduled on February 25, but in view of the demand of traders, it was extended by four more days. In such a situation, the fair has formally ended on 29th February.
