Agar Malwa: In Agar Malwa, Madhya Pradesh new 13 meters wide road is proposed from Jain Temple to Pashupatinath Temple. In this project, some houses had erected some unnecessary structures particularly boundary walls that were crossing over the roads and as a result they were pulled down by bulldozers. Moreover, several squatters’ structures were demolished on Saturday while several others were pulled down in ensure a successful widening of the roads.
The district headquarters is situated on the Indore-Kota National Highway and the area is coming up under the state’s announcement of the plan of rejuvenation. The Nagar Palika (municipal corporation) began the eviction process along with requisitioning the police force to maintain order while executing the process of removing the occupants from the area. The Chief Municipal Officer (CMO) Pawan Kumar informed that this road is being prepared under the governments revival plan and in between there will be a divider of 1 meter width.
Aggregate cost estimate for this project is about 10. 4 million rupees. These are the 13 encroachments which had hindrances to the construction of this road, therefore, required a demolition to pave way for the construction.
Some people consider the road from Jain Temple to Pashupatinath Temple as a mere infrastructure planning but in actual fact, it is an appropriate measure that has increased the approachability and solving the problems related to traffic in the area. The clerk of works prescribes the demolition of structures that were put up illegitimately since they will hinder the construction of the new road.
It is forecasted that this project will promote many advantages in the local area, as outlined below. It will also act as the main approach to the Jain and Pashupatinath temples because the structures will facilitate easy access to the two temples, thus benefiting the devotees and tourists. Furthermore, construction and expansion of more curves will mean that more room for the road will be available hence free traffic flow and less traffic congestion hence increasing the accessibility of the local businesses.
The steps taken by the Nagar Palika coupled with the cooperation of law enforcement agencies demonstrates how the government is very keen on infrastructure advancement and management.
