Panna: In the Panna district of Madhya Pradesh, the police filed an FIR against four individuals in a case involving the illegal sale of government land. This action comes following a complaint from the Deputy Director of the Animal Husbandry Department.
The incident pertains to Ajaygarh, where several land mafias unlawfully seized 39 acres of land allocated to the Animal Husbandry Department. They fabricated documents to register government land illegally, causing a stir within the department. The matter escalated to the Animal Husbandry Minister in Bhopal, prompting the Deputy Director to file an FIR against four individuals at the Ajaygarh police station.
The allocated land, bearing registration number 143/1/1, is currently controlled by various influential land mafias. The department has lost control over all the land allotted to them. Those implicated in the FIR are accused of selling 3,500 square feet of land. Additionally, several other influential individuals and mafias have seized government land allotted to the Animal Husbandry Department.
According to sources, 39 such influential individuals have registered the department’s land in their names. However, following the revelation of the matter, the administration has only filed an FIR against four individuals. The police are investigating the fake registry case, and more FIRs may be filed against other influential individuals involved. Furthermore, there are suspicions surrounding the role of the Deputy Director in this case.
The case of illegal land sales in Panna, Madhya Pradesh, underscores the pervasive influence of land mafias and the challenges faced by authorities in reclaiming government land. Despite initial actions taken against a few individuals, further investigations are needed to address the broader issue and hold all responsible parties accountable. This incident highlights the importance of vigilant oversight and stringent enforcement measures to safeguard public assets and prevent exploitation by vested interests.
