Dhar: The police of Dhar, in Madhya Pradesh, have implemented considerable measures by seizing ₹80 lakh during a vehicle examination. Two people who were in the car at the time are at the moment being interrogated by the police. The Income Tax Department regarding the incident has also been informed. This operation was carried out by the Badnawar police station team.

Sub-inspector Deepak Singh Chauhan said that the police had launched a vehicle-checking operation at the moment. Likely, they got information that two young men were in a white car with a large amount of cash. On this lead, the police laid a checkpoint and booked a car passing through Gujarat with the registration number GJ-20-CA-7000. Once the vehicle was halted, the police spoke to the driver, Divya, and his friend Ritesh, to whom they could not get proper replies.

Due to their behaviors, the police carried out a search of the vehicle used by them, noting that the conduct exhibited was suspicious. In the process, they found a bag with ₹80 lakh owned by the complainant. The money was taken away, and both men proceeded to the nearby police station for more interrogation. This shows that the police did not find any reasonable papers to show the source of the money or where it was headed.

Inspector Deepak Singh Chauhan of Badnawar police station revealed that the possible actions in connection with the crime reports will be to inform the Income Tax Department. The officers are investigating the source of the money as well as the intended use of the same in a bid to see if the exercise was unlawful.

This serious seizure result is a direct outcome of the police’s assertiveness in the management of the vehicle checking campaign. The campaign’s purpose is to remove unlawful practices and guarantee the endangered area’s protection and stability. The presence of such a huge sum of cash provokes questions about its origin as well as its purpose.

The matters are now contracting with the Income Tax Department to investigate further into the case.
