Bhopal: Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will travel to Bhopal, which is the capital of Madhya Pradesh. Security is tight, and logistics have been sorted out as preparations for his arrival are at the end stage. One important step taken ahead of his visit is the confirmation of who will be on stage with the Prime Minister.

At the beginning, the Madhya Pradesh government listed 24 prominent politicians and personalities who would be seated onstage next to PM Modi. Yet, the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) checked the list and decided to include only 16 candidates, which made the original list smaller by eight names.

Confirmed stage attendees are Governor Mangubhai Patel, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and BJP state president VD Sharma. Apart from the Prime Minister, Deputy Chief Ministers of Madhya Pradesh, Union Minister Prahlad Patel, Minister Dharmendra Lodhi and senior leader Chaitanya Kashyap are going to be present.

Also, many female ministers have had the opportunity to appear on stage. Examples of them are Sampatiya Uikey, Nirmala Bhuria, Pratima Bagri, Radha Singh and Krishna Gaur. Having them in the team demonstrates that the state government is well represented from all sections.

Limiting the leaders on the stage may help the PMO keep the event safe and orderly, as it is a high-profile event. This also shows an effort to have only major figures connected to the topic be present in public appearances with the Prime Minister.

A large number of people will most likely attend the event in Bhopal, and both its political and administrative importance will be closely noticed.
