Bhopal: On June 27, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Bhopal-Indore and Rani Kamlapati-Jabalpur Vande Bharat trains at Rani Kamlapati Railway Station. These trains are set to commence regular operations from June 28. Notably, the ticket fare for these trains includes catering services, although passengers have the option to avail or decline them as per their preference. Advance bookings have already been made for both trains, which are equipped with eight coaches each, featuring one executive class and seven AC chair car coaches.
Initially scheduled to travel to Barkatullah University by air from Bhopal airport, PM Modi’s plans were altered due to adverse weather conditions. Instead, he reached Rani Kamlapati Railway Station directly via road. When the Prime Minister arrived the public showed immense enthusiasm by erupting into chants of “Modi Modi”. The leader reciprocated this warm reception by graciously shaking hands with those in attendance. Subsequently, he entered the train and engaged in interactions with school children, fostering a memorable experience.
The fare details for the Bhopal-Indore Vande Bharat route are as follows: Ujjain-AC chair car at Rs 745, executive class at Rs 1370, Indore-AC chair car at Rs 910, executive class at Rs 1600. This train will exclusively operate from Bhopal station, and an additional catering service charge of Rs 264 is applicable.
For the Rani Kamlapati-Jabalpur route, the fare details are as follows: Narmadapuram-AC chair car at Rs 425, executive class at Rs 810, Itarsi-AC chair car at Rs 650, executive class at Rs 1070, Pipariya-AC chair car at Rs 745, executive class at Rs 1265, Narsinghpur-AC chair car at Rs 910, executive class at Rs 1600, and Jabalpur-AC chair car at Rs 1055, executive class at Rs 1880. Additionally, a catering service charge of Rs 175 is included in the fare.
With the launch of these Vande Bharat trains, the Indian Railways aims to provide enhanced connectivity and comfortable travel experiences for passengers on these routes.
