Bhopal: Leaders in Madhya Pradesh have indulged in politics but haven’t achieved personal gain. Several politicians switched parties before the 2023 State Assembly elections, yet they didn’t receive tickets. Over half a dozen leaders who changed parties were not trusted by the new party. Now, with the prospects of forming a government on the horizon, political appointments are causing a stir.
Leaders who switched parties include:
– Veerendra Raghuvanshi, who moved from BJP to Congress.
– Roshni Yadav, who shifted from BJP to Congress.
– Avadesh Nayak, who joined Congress from BJP.
– Sumitra Kasdekar, transitioning from Congress to BJP.
– Mona Sustani, who moved from Congress to BJP.
– Sanjeev Kushwaha, who first went from BSP to BJP and then entered the election arena for BSP.
– Funder Chaudhary, who switched from Congress to BJP.
– Nisha Bangare, a deputy collector who didn’t receive a ticket from Congress.
The political situation has led to some tensions within the state. Avanish Bundela, a spokesperson for the Madhya Pradesh Congress, accused BJP of deceit. He suggested that after forming a Congress government, many opportunities would arise when respect would be maintained.
On the other hand, Sachin Varma, the BJP’s state spokesperson, said the party works to include even those from other parties. BJP has honored representatives presented by other parties. Congress resorted to deception, including with leaders like Veerendra Raghuvanshi, who joined from the BJP.
Sachin added that Congress had engaged in various activities, and several videos emerged highlighting these issues. BJP would respect the activists who joined from other parties.
The switchers have not been guaranteed tickets by BJP, and the party does not provide membership on the assurance of confidence. The political landscape in Madhya Pradesh is becoming increasingly complex as parties scramble to gain an edge ahead of the upcoming elections.
