Bhopal: The state government is on the brink of launching the Mukhyamantri Jan Awas Yojana initiative, which aims to provide housing for individuals in both urban areas of the state. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced this program during a conference with district collectors, commissioners and police officials on Friday. The goal is to assist those not included in the Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme.

Under this scheme, eligible beneficiaries will receive plots of land. It will also be housed in multi-storey complexes. The Chief Minister stressed the importance of maintaining law and order, particularly as we approach the season. He urged everyone to be extra vigilant and prevent any incidents.

During the meeting, Chouhan expressed his vision for establishing a procedure to identify and enrol beneficiaries. He requested that officials maintain the standards throughout the process. Additionally, he announced that financial assistance would be directly deposited into selected beneficiary accounts from Gwalior on September 10 as part of this initiative.

Addressing concerns about weather patterns affecting crops, the Chief Minister reassured farmers of the government’s commitment to their well-being. He emphasized plans for assessments of crop damage. Affirmed readiness to provide relief and insurance where necessary.

He also encouraged the district officials to work with the energy department to maintain a supply of electricity for 10 hours which would greatly support activities. Additionally, he emphasized the importance of conducting an assessment to ensure that the supply of food grains remains uninterrupted.
