An unprecedented road accident occurred in Anuppur district of Madhya Pradesh that resulted in the death of five people and severely injured three men. This happened in the premises of Ramnagar police station and has shocked and saddened the whole local community.
Reportedly, a high-speed Scorpio SUV ran into Jhiria Tola and Belia when it crashed into a motorcycle. The motorcyclist lost control and was badly hurt in the collision as a resident of Urtan. When the accident occurred, the driver of the SUV, in a panic, made an effort to escape the scene at high speed on the National Highway 43 Jhiria Tola and Belia.
The driver, in despair to flee, crashed the vehicle out of control. Scorpio lost control and the car zigzagged the road, smashed into a house and flipped over violently. The accident was so strong that two passengers and the driver did not survive. Two other victims, who are both Belia residents, died after treatment in the hospital due to the injuries they sustained.
Three other people were also seriously injured and taken to the Kotma Community Health Centre at the same time. It is said that their health is critically bad.
The crash was horrifying as described by eyewitnesses, with the trunk of the road being covered with debris and the damaged house receiving the full impact of the SUV. Relatives of the dead members wept and wept when the news was announced, and people were overwhelmed with sorrow.
The Ramnagar and Bijuri police teams immediately came to the spot, fenced off the area, and started investigations to make an investigation into the case. Initial results indicate that overspeeding and careless driving are the biggest contributors to the crash.
Police are currently going through CCTV footage and interviewing witnesses in order to establish precise chronology of the event. The incident has again increased the fears of road safety and the threat of fast-moving cars in residential zones.
