The grand opening of the grand Devi Lok in Maa Vijayasan Dham, Salkanpur, Madhya Pradesh, is bound to make Sehore the new centre of faith and tourism in the state. This grand spiritual and tourism venture is set to become a great tourist and spiritual destination to the Indian and foreign devotees in the next few days.

The already established and deeply religious Devi Dham of Salkanpur has been turned into an even more magnificent place. Devi Lok is another structure that is expected to be opened to devotees in the near future and it was constructed at an approximated cost of about ₹100 crore. The Madhya Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation has been keen to consider both spirituality and architectural perfection in the development and designing of its project.

The whole complex of Devi Lok has been made with red sandstone available in Bansi Paharpur and thus appears very rich and antique. Different types of Maa Durga as well as other gods are well portrayed in intricate carvings on the stone, which is the evidence of the rich Indian spiritual background. A corridor of close to half a kilometre long has been built, with massive stone pillars along it. Through this corridor, one can see the divine leelas (legends) of the Goddess crafted in stone, which makes it a spiritually immersive experience to the visitors.

The 64 Yogini Temple is one of the most salient attractions of Devi Lok. The temple has been built in a circular style of the grand circle, inspired by the 16 th century architectural designs and the round shape of the old Parliament House in India. There are stone idols of all 64 Yoginis that are housed in it, with the majestic idol of Ashta Bhairav located at the centre. The building impresses the visitors with its architectural splendor during the day, and during the night, the whole complex shines in the artistic light, making the impression of being covered with golden radiance.
