One such deadly incident was the one that occurred in Seoni, Madhya Pradesh where a police vehicle rolled over in the Nagjhar village in the Dunda Seoni police station area resulting in panic among the locals and officials. The car in question was a PCR Bolero of the Kinderai police station which allegedly lost control and flipped over. One of the passengers was a Sub-Inspector (ASI).

The Bolero, according to sources, had an ASI, the driver, and three of the victims of a recent attack on board, who had been taken to medical check-ups before the police were returning them to their respective destinations. The car is said to have gone out of control on a turnabout near the village and crashed. Amazingly, no one among the passengers was seriously injured, but the driver was seriously injured and was immediately hospitalized.

The Bolero that was involved in the accident is a hired vehicle that the police department uses in its official works. After the incident, local officials and the police officials came to the location to examine the incident and secure the safety of all people involved. According to eyewitnesses, the car had toppled over unexpectedly and it had created havoc in the place, but timely intervention by the ASI and other police personnel on duty helped avert a greater damage.

The incident has been registered by the police and an investigation on the cause of the accident started. Initial reports indicate that it might have been as a result of driver error or mechanical breakdown although the cause will be ascertained after a thorough investigation. The authorities have promised to inspect the safety measures in order to ensure that such accidents do not take place in the future.
