Indore, Madhya Pradesh: The Home Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Narottam Mishra on Saturday said that the state will take strict actions against unwarranted and provocative activities in the Government Law Colleges that also includes anti-national talks.
Speaking to the media, Narottam said, “We have come to know that some teachers used to teach (provocative) content which was out of syllabus; we have also came to know that ‘Love Jihad’ activities, anti-national talks and voting against Article 370 were being one on the campus. (As of now) Action has been taken against some teachers. Five days have been given for conducting an inquiry into the matter. Strict action will be taken against those found at fault.”
The controversy started with the book written by Dr. Farhat Khan, who was a law professor in various colleges in Indore. Now, Home Minister Narottam Mishra has ordered an inquiry regarding this. Mishra said that orders have been given to the Indore commissioner to investigate Khan’s book and file an FIR within 24 hours.
Talking to the media on Saturday, Home Minister Narottam Mishra further said, “I have asked the Indore commissioner to investigate Dr. Farhat Khan’s book and file an FIR within 24 hours if found guilty.” Mishra said that it is the same country in which he lives, the country in which he eats, then from where does he get so much poison to write against the country? He also told that action has been taken against five people in the case. “Strict action will be taken against those involved in anti-national activities. No one will be spared”, he added.
Related to the case, 6 teachers have been put off duty. 2 of the suspended teachers are from Kashmir and they are also ABVP activists. The Principal of the college Inamur Rahman said, “All the six teachers would not take lectures for five days until a judicial inquiry is conducted into the allegations of the ABVP.” Further investigation is instructed by the Minister in the case.
