In the Monsoon session of the Madhya Pradesh Assembly, 2025, on the second day of the session, there was a drama of high decibels as the opposition Congress members questioned the decreasing law and order in the state. Congress MLAs were holding up slogans and creating a disturbance, charging the government with attacking their party members. The Congress MLAs and their relatives have raised false cases, the leader of the opposition, Umang Singhar, said. He also accused the harassment of the legislators, Sena Patel, Abhay Mishra, and Arif Masood. The demonstration also resulted in a dramatic walkout of the members of Congress in the Assembly.

On March 24, Congress MLA Chanda Gaur questioned the minister in the Question Hour regarding a fugitive case being registered in 1997 at Chhatarpur Police Lines that has been running for 15 years. Minister Shivaji Patel, in reply, clarified to the House that a reward of 8,000 has been announced, and a search is being carried out. Gaur, however, criticised the police for arriving at no action, and he sarcastically offered the police the amount of reward, in case they finally arrest the accused.

The dispute of having to pay workers of Sahkari Soot Mill Maryadit their awaited wages was also called upon in the House. Wanting to also see the deadline being fixed and payment to be made, BJP MLA Archana Chitnis highlighted the gravity of the situation. Minister Chaitanya Kumar Kashyap said that a committee, which is headed by the Chief Secretary, is compiling the list of affected workers. Chitnis responded that he had already made such a list, and workers were waiting two whole generations to have their justice.

BJP MLA Neena Verma, meanwhile, expressed her apprehension toward land assignments and settlements of uprooted families in Dhar and Barwani districts in the Sardar Sarovar project. Minister Dharmendra Lodhi assured the farmhouses would be given land plots when it comes to the people who are eligible, and the process of declaring the areas as residential was underway.

Some new issues to be raised were the Tehsil status of Narayawali, losses in Crops by farmers and leaves pending with teachers.
