Bhopal: The temperature in most of the districts of the state has reached 10 degrees Celsius in Madhya Pradesh. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of dense fog in many districts. The minimum temperatures are expected to drop by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius in 72 hours.
Madhya Pradesh winters paint a vibrant tapestry of contrasts. Daytime throws on a cloak of golden sunshine, draping the land in warmth with temperatures hovering around 25°C. Crisp breezes dance through mango orchards, and vibrant markets bustle with life. It’s a picnic-perfect paradise, the perfect time to explore ancient temples bathed in sunlight or wander through bustling bazaars.
But as the sun dips, a dramatic shift unfolds. Night’s icy fingers creep in, temperatures plummeting as low as 5°C in some regions. The air takes on a sharp bite, sending shivers down spines and drawing locals towards crackling bonfires. Thick sweaters and shawls become essential armor against the chill, a nightly ritual of layering up before venturing out.
There is a possibility of further cold in MP. According to the Meteorological Department, there will be a change in the weather from next week. Along with cloud cover, there is a possibility of light rain and drizzle at many places in the state on 23rd and 24th December. While the day temperature may drop, the night temperature may rise by 1 to 2 degrees Celsius.
Due to cold winds, the maximum temperature is falling. At the same time, the trend of decline in minimum temperature has also started. Due to this the chill will increase across the state. At present, the weather will remain dry for 3 to 4 days, but due to fluctuations in temperature, the effect of fog can be seen in many districts of the state.
