Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Saturday said that the state government will rebuild the houses damaged in the vandalisation by rioters during the Khargone violence. “There is peace in Khargone. 10 houses were completely damaged in the vandalisation by rioters. Those houses will be rebuilt with government support. A total of 70 houses were partially damaged, they will be repaired with the government’s help and the injured will be provided free treatment,” the Madhya Pradesh CM said.

CM Chouhan further stated that the state government will compensate for the losses now; however, later these will be recovered from the rioters. “We’ll rebuild the source of livelihood of 16 people who suffered a complete loss. In fact, CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan said in warning words that his government will not spare anyone found involved in the riots

Several people including police personnel were injured when groups of people pelted stones at each other during a Ram Navami procession on April 10th. The stone-pelting started at the beginning of the procession leaving around 4 people injured including a police inspector. The police have arrested 121 people involved in the violence.

Madhya Pradesh CM also announced that a train under ‘Mukhyamantri Tirth Darshan Yojana’ will leave Rani Kamlapati Railway Station from Bhopal at 2 pm on April 19th. “I myself will go to see off the devotee-passengers. Yatra is starting again and the first train will go to Kashi,” he said. “We’re restarting ‘Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana’ from April 21st. The first program will happen in the Sehore district. Daughters getting married will get accessories worth Rs 38,000, cheques of Rs 11,000, Rs 6,000 for other facilities will be given,” he added.
