Khandwa: With only a few days left for voting in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, candidates are leaving no stone unturned to connect with voters. In areas where luxurious cars cannot reach, candidates are resorting to bike rallies for campaign purposes. Moreover, in places inaccessible by motorbikes, politicians are opting to travel on foot to reach out to the electorate.

A recent video from the Mandsaur constituency in Madhya Pradesh highlights the unconventional campaign methods adopted by candidates. In this instance, a candidate named Rohani faced the challenge of reaching a village where cars couldn’t navigate the terrain. Undeterred, he took matters into his own hands, riding a motorcycle to traverse through waterlogged rivers, narrow pathways, and hilly terrains to meet the residents.

This unique campaign strategy sheds light on the challenges faced by candidates in reaching remote areas where basic infrastructure is lacking. The video from Khandwa district depicts the Congress candidate, Uttam Pal Singh, addressing the issues faced by the rural population. Singh alleges that despite the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) being in power for several years, local representatives have failed to initiate developmental projects. The plight of the rural residents persists, with a lack of fundamental amenities such as housing, roads, and water supply.

Uttam Pal Singh emphasizes the ongoing struggles of people in rural areas, living in makeshift homes without access to basic facilities. He accuses the BJP-led government of neglecting the welfare of the common people, echoing the sentiments of those grappling with the absence of essential services. As the election fervor intensifies, these grassroots issues take center stage, becoming crucial points of discussion for both candidates and voters alike. The Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections appear to be not just a political battleground but also a platform for highlighting the urgent need for comprehensive rural development.
